Please help me get through the next 9 weeks.. *vent*
I have 9 weeks until my due date. Most probably 10 weeks until the birth since i have been over by 1 week twice now.. Im already sick of being pregnant. Don't get me wrong, i love growing this baby but the SPD is giving me the irrates and i can barely walk most days. Plus i can't sleep, its too uncomfortable. I have nothing to wear cause i cant justify spending money on clothes that will only get worn for 10 weeks and i dont have any winter maternity wear cause ive never been heavily pregnant in winte beforer. I'm so exhausted all the time and i just cannot keep up with the kids or the housework or anything and i just feel like a big fat hippo!!
sending big no real advice really, only i can highly recommend a check out of cotton on for some sales on jumpers. i have bought some good size M and L jumpers that are going to see me through and dont cost a bomb like maternity wear....
Please help me get through the next 9 weeks.. *vent*
Are you having treatment for the spd? I could barely walk at 22 weeks with dd2 I needed crutches but after seeing a physio I could manage to get around enough to look after dd1 and do some housework. It's so painfull and impossible to rest when you have children to look after. I hope the next 9 weeks go really fast for you.
Darl, I know you feel you can't justify buying winter maternity stuff, but I really think you should - it'll give you a boost to have some nice new stuff, you'll feel closer to a million bucks.
I imagine your SPD makes getting anywhere difficult, so would it be possible to have a weekly event, a 'countdown to baby' party? So maybe one week all your girlie friends come over and you just have mani/pedis, watch a chick flick and have mocktails and chocolate, and then the next week have a date with your hubby, and vice versa? Then you've got something to look forward to every week, and the time will fly!
Ah hun, I wish I was near you, and we could have a pre baby party every week
I'm sure you're not a big fat hippo
I guess I'm lucky, my SPD settled down once bub was engaged but my body is a weird and wonderful playground for the doctors, but I do know the pain you are going through. Is hubby or friends helping out with the day-to-day chores and looking after the little ones?
Where abouts in Newy are you? Would always be happy to lend a hand (although I've only got 10days til due so...)
Aww hun I feel some of your pain - I don't have SPD but I do struggle with the sleep thing, feeling like a whale thing and not keeping up with the housework thing.
Hang in there... its really only a bit over two months... if that helps?
Sorry you're feeling like this. I have bad SPD to and despite the osteo, physio, acupuncture and pilates, I'm still on crutches. The best way I cope is to harvest my energy into small amounts and rest when I can. I realise that has to be a lot harder when you have small children around.
Would doing a daily count down help - a bit like an advent calendar? Every day you get through you get a little treat?
Also I agree with pp - if you can, buy something nice to wear, it makes a huge difference to how you feel.
Ok so i went shopping for some clothes today. They have nothing! A variety of 2 tops and 3 pants in black or grey. Yuck! I mean i like black but i don't wanna look like a goth lol. *sigh* This was at both Target and Big-W too.
I desperatly need a pedicure so might book one of those in for next week and i'm going to the BB gold coast meet on the weekend. So that might take another week off my boring waiting.
Please help me get through the next 9 weeks.. *vent*
Do you have crossroads near you? I got some great tops that look nice and fit well even though they aren't maternity ones, katies is another one to try. I gave up on kmart and target none of their stuff appeals to me either.
Try ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get almost ALL of my maternity clothes off ebay as they are still in good condition cheap and as you said its only another 9 weeks!!!!!! Get a hair cut make yourself feel good again!! REALLY i should be taking some of my own advice as i feel the same way as you at the moment!!! Hope you feel better soon XXOO
Oh man there is still 6 weeks to go and its draaaaaaging!
I still don't have many clothes so am currently living in my pjs lol. I'm bored as heck but i can't really do anything or go anywhere cause no money and i can't be stuffed!
do you have a 'cotton on' near you? that is where i have been picking up some nice long tops and elasticised skirts to wear...without the massive maternity wear price-tag...especially now that we are getting closer to the end and i am finding it harder to justify the outlay lol!
I have been wearing Target Leggings and their layering tops not maternity just normal. The tops are long enough to cover my growing belly and I just put a long wollen cardi over the top. I find them so comfortable and I will be able to wear the leggings afterwards as well. Not so much the layering tops due to BF and no buttons but they will be there for the future winters for layering.
