Please help me get through the next 9 weeks.. *vent*
Are you having treatment for the spd? I could barely walk at 22 weeks with dd2 I needed crutches but after seeing a physio I could manage to get around enough to look after dd1 and do some housework. It's so painfull and impossible to rest when you have children to look after. I hope the next 9 weeks go really fast for you.
Darl, I know you feel you can't justify buying winter maternity stuff, but I really think you should - it'll give you a boost to have some nice new stuff, you'll feel closer to a million bucks.
I imagine your SPD makes getting anywhere difficult, so would it be possible to have a weekly event, a 'countdown to baby' party? So maybe one week all your girlie friends come over and you just have mani/pedis, watch a chick flick and have mocktails and chocolate, and then the next week have a date with your hubby, and vice versa? Then you've got something to look forward to every week, and the time will fly!
Ah hun, I wish I was near you, and we could have a pre baby party every week
I'm sure you're not a big fat hippo
I guess I'm lucky, my SPD settled down once bub was engaged but my body is a weird and wonderful playground for the doctors, but I do know the pain you are going through. Is hubby or friends helping out with the day-to-day chores and looking after the little ones?
Where abouts in Newy are you? Would always be happy to lend a hand (although I've only got 10days til due so...)
Aww hun I feel some of your pain - I don't have SPD but I do struggle with the sleep thing, feeling like a whale thing and not keeping up with the housework thing.
Hang in there... its really only a bit over two months... if that helps?
Sorry you're feeling like this. I have bad SPD to and despite the osteo, physio, acupuncture and pilates, I'm still on crutches. The best way I cope is to harvest my energy into small amounts and rest when I can. I realise that has to be a lot harder when you have small children around.
Would doing a daily count down help - a bit like an advent calendar? Every day you get through you get a little treat?
Also I agree with pp - if you can, buy something nice to wear, it makes a huge difference to how you feel.
Ok so i went shopping for some clothes today. They have nothing! A variety of 2 tops and 3 pants in black or grey. Yuck! I mean i like black but i don't wanna look like a goth lol. *sigh* This was at both Target and Big-W too.
I desperatly need a pedicure so might book one of those in for next week and i'm going to the BB gold coast meet on the weekend. So that might take another week off my boring waiting.
