Another BH question

.....well i posted a couple of weeks ago re my BH as i seemed to get them very early this pg compared to my last and they have a tendency to be quite uncomfortable. Well not last night the night b4 they were quite consistent every 10- 15 mins for a couple of hrs and kept waking me up yesterday they seemed to settle but this morning they are back again just as bad. Is this common? is this a sign i could go early? should i phone my midwife team? or am i been over paranoid? I am 31 weeks. They dont seem to be getting any worse and feel similar to how i was at 41 wks with DD.

Id give them a call... they might be able to offer some advice on what to do. I always worry to cos i get the same feelings as i did with DD, but it passes.

Hi Nat
If your BH are comming every 10 15 mins and they are lasting between 30 and 60 seconds for 2 or more hours then you should phone your midwife

hi i had the same pattern of braxton hicks at about 36 weeks with my last pregnancy. i ended up being 2 cm dilated at 36 weeks and 3cm at 38 weeks but was induced at 38 weeks 4 days for medical reasons. you may just want to check with your care provider just in case. mine were similiar ie regular pattern, woke me through the night, lasting for awhile.

im 31 weeks too with this third pregnancy. getting quite a lot of strong braxton hicks but nothing regular so i think you should check it out just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the replies, they are still happening this arvo but are no longer regular. If they start up regular again i will def go and get checked out if they come and go whenever then i am not too worried but will mention it at my next appt.

beccas- with my DD i was the same from about 39 weeks but they didnt wake me through the night until i was 41+ i ended up been induced 12 days past my EDD and was already 3cm so it was just a case of breaking my waters.
