    Question Baby weight accuracy?

I had to have a 28 week scan on Monday and all was good - baby is measuring above average now! They said it was 1.8 kg at 28 weeks. Does this mean I will have a whopper? I know there is room for error but has anyone's scan's been accurate? mackenzie was born at 40 weeks and weighed 3.775 kg.

i had a scan at 37 weeks with my son and they told me he was 7 pound 7 ounce , i had him one week later and he was 3690g which they told me was 8 pound exactly
with my daughter they told me at 36 weeks she was 2.4kg i had her at 38 weeks as well and she was 2.7 exactly, so there is i think they say 700g either side. at least ur bub is doing very well to be that big already hehehe

    Not accurate at all.

I was told DS would be a big boy and weigh in the high 8 lbs - he was 7lb 5oz - nowhere near their guess.

Don't count on it being accurate - Juliette was predicted to be 3.2kg at term & she was actually 4.5kg so they can be waaaay out (both ways).

    yeah not accurate at all.

Both the older boys were way off what they said, MORE than 700g off.

Ashton they said he was a nice size, but they were floored when I birthed him and he was 5kg (11lbs)

At 34 weeks I was told I'd be having a 7 to 7 1/2 pound bub at full term. I gave birth at 38/4 & he was 7 pound 13 so would've been even bigger had I got to 40 weeks. I expected a smaller bub to be honest as both my ex and I were small bubs.
