I have used a few different ones (hospital, lactation clinic, my own etc). I have a manual Avent Isis one - the electric one is exactly the same as the manual one (kicking myself that I didn't just get the electric!) But I like the electric Avent one because you can set the speed. You start squeezing the handle manually and then when you are happy with the rhythm/speed you have set, you push the button and the machine takes over at the same speed you were pumping at manually. Very VERY nice if you have ouchie cracked nipples - you can take it nice and slow. You can get a single or double one - it's pretty pricey though.

The added bonus of the Avent is that the bottles are easily available at any supermarket (although also pretty $$).

Are you going to need to pump when you go back to work or something? I was just going to say - if you don't know that you will definitely need it, I reckon it's a good idea to research and decide which one you want and then wait and see if you need it before investing the cash. At least then if you do decide to get one, you can send someone else out to pick up the exact one you want and if you realise you don't need one, you have saved a few hundred bucks. Just my $0.02. It's what I wish I had done.
