This happened to me as they were swelling- like the skin was being stretched.
It was summertime and bloody painful!

Hey lovely lady, is it def not just your shoes leaving marks/indents etc? I get this sometimes but I don't notice until the swelling goes down a bit.

Yep I elevate them as often as I can. I ended up with severe P.E last time so I dont want to go down that path again.. But my feet arnt really swelling. I meant my feet are huge in the way that they are size 14 lol.

Yeah I guess it could be... The bruises arnt really where my shoes are but it could be possible. Ill keep an eye on that and see if I can find a link between them.. thanks

i'm finding my feet don't really swell but if i've been standing much they feel quite bruised on the top. i have quite bad circulation and think it may be related to that.

Thanks for your reply Catetay I tested the theroy today and didnt wear shoes all day. They were pretty good (bruised but not very visable) this morning but tonight my bruises are back. So I think it has something with being on my feet most of the day. I have antenatal on thursday so will ask them and let you know what they say.

I had really bad swelling when I was pregnant but my feet never looked bruised - felt like it though! However after I had my DD I remember looking at my feet a few days later and the swelling had gone down but it was like their was a little fluid pocket right next to my ankle bone - it was incredibly sore and was black - looked like a bruise. The only thing that gave me some relief was massages by my hubby, it hurt but afterwards felt better and the fluid eventually went. However because you are still pregnant you may have a while before the fluid goes away!
