Cervix Lingo

I am hoping this is the right place to ask!

Just wanting to know what a few terms mean and what they lead to etc..

efaced
soft
ripe
long

and anyothers that I missed...

Effaced is in relation to how thick cervix is.
Soft whether it is firm or soft soft is good as going to efface and dilate
ripe is combo of all so in good position soft and effacing
Long cervix is about 2cm so as it effaces it gets shorter and thiner

when they do and internal they feel all these things very clever really!!

Thanks feeb... so if I get an internal done, I want to hear effaced, soft or ripe!

Ripe is more mentioned when they are giving you and induction to know whether or not you need prostin gel.

BUt effaced and soft are great!!!
