    Could Labour be near?

So today i woke up with mild period type pains.

then they stopped and i started getting back pain with contractions every 5 mins lasting about 40sec this has been happening since about 10.00am.

The pains haven't intensified by much at all but are starting to come around to the front of my belly?

Could this be pre-labour and mean that labour is just around the corner?

Hiya, could be braxton hicks (practice contractions) but it sounds like mine was at the beginning you just never know. All the best either way, cheers Missy.

If they are too painful to talk through and about 5 minutes apart, I'd give the hospital a call!

    Congratulations you lucky thing!

Sounds like it might be early labour...get some rest, you might have a big night (or a big day tomorrow)
    Good luck!

Things have died down once again.

I have alot of pressure down below but no contractions.

Having lots of little niggly pains but nothing to boast about.

So its probably a big fat nothing.
