    diarrhoea? (TMI alert)

Was wondering if anyone had experienced this early on in the 3rd trimester?

Mine isn't too the point of constantly being on the toilet, but I'm going alot more than I should be!

I'm seeing my ob tomorrow night so I will mention it to her then, but was wondering if anyone had any opinions/advice? Could it just be the position of bub putting pressure on my bowel?

I've had looser than normal bowels..and more than one a day on and off for two weeks, think it's hormones and pressure

Hi I'm a bit like you (much more regular than normal) and am a bit worried that at 33 weeks it might just happen???
The only time it has happened to me in the past is just before labour started or in the early stages... it has been happening for about a week for me now..sometimes it starts with a tummy pain, other times just feel the urge to go.
    ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????

I had it happening in 1st and 2nd trimester and the OB put it down to hormones (not sure if that means the same for 3rd trimester) !!!

I have been getting that too! Not every day, and not always diarrhoea, sometimes just 'looser' than normal. But sometimes with crampy tummy pains first, which vanish as soon as I've 'been'.

I'm seeing my OB on Monday, might ask him. What did your OB say about it?

She said that its probably just a tummy bug, but said to keep an eye on my temp, and if I have a fever to go to the doctors as it may be a sign of infection. She said I most likely picked it up in a public pool

Although today, it hasn't happened at all, so maybe I am over it?

    Hi Kellie

Just in case it comes back again and it's not a bug, here's my story in case it helps..

I've generally been 'loose' throughout the preg - no constipation for me!

Throughout the third trimester, every time I wake up to wee in the night, I also need to go #2. I get pain in the tummy otherwise but that pain instantly disappears when I go. When I get up in the morning I'll go a couple more times and that usually does me for the day!

Like Linzy said I believe it is the hormones and the extra pressure on the intestine that's causing this.

I also seem to be extra sensitive to little bugs eg if I eat somewhere with questionable hygeine standards I'll suffer for a couple of weeks. Doesn't stop me from eating dodgy curries though!

I don't think I'd be a candidate for castor oil induction - my uterus is used to an active bowel next to it! So Blackduckies I think that a bit more pooing than normal is not going to disturb bub too much

    Hope that helps somebody
