Ohh yes!!! Had a day and a half off sick from work last week, was feeling a bit dizzy and had a few hot flushes, also really tired! I'm ok now, still get the odd dizzy/light headed spell...I think it's just my body telling me to slow down, or bubs could be having a bit of a growth spurt?
Have an appointment with my midwife on Thursday so will mention it then. Also, the baby is probably starting to really squish up your insides (my stomach was grumbling last night and it felt like it was right up under my ribcage!) so your lungs may not be getting their full intake of air, Try taking a few big deep breaths to boost up your oxygen a little, it might help?
i had this yesterday and contacted the middies due to pre-eclampsia risk. things to keep in mind - do you have swelling of the hands/feet, pain in the right upper quadrant of your tum (kinda just near base of the ribs) that won't go away, persistent headache... it doesn't sound like you have BP issues but if it continues, contact your middies or doctor for follow up. better to keep an eye on things if you can than to assume all is ok or all is not kwim?
At least half of that sounds exactly like postural hypotension. Its possible that drops in BP are the cause and going undetected without the machine there to measure it when you experience an episode.
Best bet is to lie down before you fall down and elevate your feet above your head. Better on the safe side.
Also lying on your LHS when you get an episode can be the most comfy position. I find my baby in the last couple of weeks has been compressing my vena cava when I lie on my back or my RHS sometimes. It makes me feel dizzy and sick, so I roll onto my left and try to breathe very deeply.
I got dizzy at work yesterday and had to lie down, but we have a BP machine there. I measured my pressure and it was 85/50 which explained why I felt that way. I would advise you not to change positions suddenly as you pressure can drop.
i hope you do get some relief. It is amazing how many pregnancy symptoms one can get.
YES!! The room started spinning at about 8:30pm last night, but stopped. Haven't had it since and thankfully I was sitting down. If I hadn't been, I fear I would have fallen down!
Still getting dizzy but it does seem to be getting a little bit better.. which as much as I hate to admit it, could be because I am now 'taking it easier' (not that I have a lot of choice!)
There is still dizziness for obvious reasons like when I turn too quickly etc but the random 'no apparent reason' dizziness is getting better... maybe just something I'll have to live with for the next few weeks
