Hi Kristin
Unfortunately there is no way of knowing when your waters will break. You could lose your plug minutes, hours, days or even weeks before your waters break. You could also lose your plug at the same time as your waters break

Thanks Alan, I feared that may be the case! Ah well I just hope I'm on a tiled floor when/if it happens - and not on our new carpet or couch!
I always feared my waters breaking somewhere inconvenient too! But with both my labours my waters didn't break until the very end, just before bubs arrived and both times it was a very disappointing trickle. How practical of me LOL!
I lost my plug in very early labour both times too.
I lost my mucous plug and my waters broke 2 days later - on my friend's COUCH!! Fortunately I was lying down and manged to roll off and stand up before the real gush and more fortunately, they have a tiled floor![]()
I had absolutely no warning! I was in bed and thought I was peeing myself. I got up walked to the shower and they just gushed!! I'd had absolutely nothing happen before hand.
I have NO idea what happened to mine. Maybe it's still in there LOL - DD is 9 months old.
I lost mine a few mins before my waters broke...luckily for me I was in the labour room anyway LOL.
