    Wink DTD Question

    Hi All,

I am 36 weeks and 3 days and bub's is well and truly engaged, the cervix is 3cm dilated and I am pretty much ready to go at any time acording to the doctor yesterday.

My hubby wants to know if DTD can hurt the baby's head at all when it's engaged and ready to go???

    Cheers
    Lisa

Not that I know of I'm the same as you (well, I'm 36 + 6).

I think it is only an issue if your waters have broken. Otherwise, if you feel like it, go for it. It might even bring on labour - all those prostiglandins (sp?) and oxytocin - especially if you orgasm.

Oh, and even though the baby's head is engaged, it is not in your vagina, so again, you should be fine. Though for your comfort, you might want to take it easy.

Exciting stuff DTD with #1 resulted in my going into labour

Having sex can help you get into labour due to the prosliglandins in seman.

DH will not hurt babys head, the only time you cant have sex is if your waters have broken.

Happy bonking!!! enjoy as after baby born will be a while before you will again!!
