    Engaging at 30 weeks normal?

My sister is 30 weeks, and is in a fair amount of pain - she said she's pretty sure bubs in engaging because of where she can feel the pressure.

Is this normal so early? The reason I ask is she's fairly sure she's up to 4 weeks further along than the doctor says, judging by milestones and general feelings compared to her last pregnancy. Her fundal height is also 2cm higher than the doc said it should be for 30 weeks.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

    from what i understand...
Baby's head can engage and dis-engage right up until the very last minute, so yes its possible, her baby could 'pop' out again too

Cass is right Baby’s can engage at anytime during pregnancy. The Fundal height measurement is a very inaccurate way to judge gestation. It can change by many things including, position of baby, amount of fluid, position of mum when being measured, accuracy of the person doing the measuring.

My DS engaged at about 28 weeks, and didn't un-engage. (shocking 11 weeks till he was born at 39, LOL)..

So def can engage that early, hope for her that bub moves to give her a bit more comfort.

I was 3/5 engaged from 28 weeeks and didn't had DD until 40+2, some babies just like to be down ready to go earlier than others, but doesn't predict when bub will arrive

My bub was at least partially engaged from about 20 weeks...at least, that's what the midwives figured.
