I've got GD and I've been on insulin for the past three weeks and now it's finally starting to make a difference, I have to also watch what I eat and space the meals out evenly. I've actually lost 2kg's in the last 3 weeks, I must be eating too well. If you have a sweet tooth I recomend sugar free lollies, they tast the same as the real thing and no sugar lemonaide. I'm finding that I like fruit now, that takes away the sugar cravings and I have equal in my tea, so you can get by well enough. Hopefully you won't have to do the injections, they don't hurt or anything, but you have to be so constant with taking the readings and having the injections. Tiring is the word that comes to mind, but I think I'm actually getting used to it all now.
I hope you sort it all out, take care of yourself.....

. I had my session at the hospital today (by the way it was the Lyell Mac - are you also booked in there, if you don't mind me asking? And are you being seen in the Birthing Centre or the Family clinic? )
