    Getting scared ...

    Hi All,

Im 37 weeks this weekend and have been feeling great! Great, until now ... I keep thinking of very bad things that will happen, like my baby being stillborn or not being normal and healthy.

Is this normal? or are my worries telling me something is not right?

    Cheers.

Phoenix, I think it's perfectly normal to be scared and worried during pregnancy, I know I certainly had a few irrational anxieties that had nothing to do with my intuition, they were just fears. I found the best thing to do was try to relax and pamper myself so that I enjoyed the final few weeks of being pregnant. Do something nice, a soak in the bath, a foot rub, coffee out with your friends - whatever it takes...it's not long now!

It's quite normal. I used to have some horrid dreams too. I second marydean... go out for coffee or lunch or pamper yourself before bubs is born, you won't get to do that in peace for a long time after...lol.

I remember the last 2wks of my pregnancy my emotions would go from feeling very anxious to happy to met my bub all within an hour

... I found out it's perfectly NORMAL & quite common to feel this way.

And I too would at times think the worst

I just wish I had of switched off my mobile & hm phone's on my due date as so many people were contacting me or leaving messages about "Is the baby here yet " or " Get a move on with that bub " to " I think you better go drive over some road bumps to bring it on".

Oh, my anxiety kicked in that day, augh !!

... YEP, switch those phones on your due date ( I gave the same advice to my sis-in-law that is due to have her 1st bub in 2wks. She said "Bl**dy H*ll I will", LOL)

... Sit back and ENJOY the rest of your pregnancy ... Bring in those positive thoughts of meeting & cuddling that beautiful bub of yours whom not doubt can't wait to meet you too

OMG... I soooo wished I had done the same!! I was driven nutty and kept on telling people that when the baby was ready it would come but that didn't even work!!

I hear you!! I have also been really paraniod at times about the same things. I pray that my baby will be born safely and healthy and that the birth will go well and there won't be any complications. I worry about my children remaining safe and healthy and also about DH and my health as we hope to live a long life watching our children grow and always being there for them. Told you I worry!! I think it's normal though as once you become a parent the love, emotions and concern you have towards your children just becomes overwhelming!! Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy - everything will be absolutely fine.

It's quite normal to have these feelings. I felt some mild anxiety toward the end of my pregnancy. You'll be fine though and you'll be meeting your little one in no time
