I went into labour and trialled for a vaginal breech before we went for a c-section. I got to 7cm at full term until he went into distress. His head was stuck between my ribs and the anterior placenta. The dents in his head were impressive It was under general and I was in theatre within minutes. There was no issues with DS - he was fine and so was I. Just the usual c-section recovery.

In retrospect I would have had the epidural inserted but not working so I had the option of being awake for it but I don't regret the decisions I made at the time. For DD I agreed to the epidural (during transition but that is another story) for her VBAC so if it all did go pear shaped (it didn't) we could go straight to theatre and I would be awake for her birth.

Good luck!! And don't forget, you can get a re-accumulation of amniotic fluid if you aren't still leaking

    All the best hun

Cant help with the breech baby, but as you are probably aware, my waters broke at 28 weeks with Brendan and he was born at 30+1, so you can make a few weeks, it is possible! I also know others who've made term after having their waters break really early on.

A big to you for wanting all the information and wanting to give a natural birth a go, i have no idea on the medical side of things but if you want a breach success story please feel free to read mine.. http://forums.bellybelly.com.au/foru...ome-birth.html

Granted we did not know Ava was breach and she was feet 1st but if we had of gone to hospital we would not have been given ANY choice as to a c/s, i am so glad you have a hospital that is will to try for you.

Don't put yourself under pressure though, if you feel something isn't right or your worried about bub then do what the Dr's say...

Looks like you have plenty of advice from the wonderful BBers and you never know bub might just turn!

I hope it all goes well and you get your gorgeous little one the natural way...

Wow Heavenly, well congratulations on the arrival of Serenity, I hope your recovery is swift and DD's stay in the nursery is short.
