I went into labour and trialled for a vaginal breech before we went for a c-section. I got to 7cm at full term until he went into distress. His head was stuck between my ribs and the anterior placenta. The dents in his head were impressiveIt was under general and I was in theatre within minutes. There was no issues with DS - he was fine and so was I. Just the usual c-section recovery.
In retrospect I would have had the epidural inserted but not working so I had the option of being awake for it but I don't regret the decisions I made at the time. For DD I agreed to the epidural (during transitionbut that is another story) for her VBAC so if it all did go pear shaped (it didn't) we could go straight to theatre and I would be awake for her birth.
Good luck!! And don't forget, you can get a re-accumulation of amniotic fluid if you aren't still leaking![]()
