Anyone experienced high BP in the last trimester WITHOUT other symptoms of pre-eclampsia? I had an antenatal appt yesterday at 32 weeks and had two readings of 150/100 - doctor was worried enough that they recommended a day stay in the women's assessment unit for further monitoring to ensure that I wasn't having symptoms of pre-eclampsia.
The funny thing is all my blood and urine tests were clear, babys heart tracing was fine and in the course of 5 hours I had 4 more BP checks all of which were perfectly normal (around 110/75 or similar). I'm curious as to whether anyone else has experienced such a massive difference in blood pressure readings in a short period of time. It makes me wonder if there isn't a possibility of medical error at fault.
We all make mistakes but there's nothing more upsetting to a pregnant woman than to suggest she may have a condition such as this only to find there's no justification for the suggestion! Suffice to say I was just a tad worried and emotional yesterday.
