Clary sage is very potent stuff, so unless you have a need to go into labour early (ie the doctor is threatening you with induction or ceasrean for some medical reason unless you labour spontaneously) then try not to use it until 40 weeks.
It smells pretty vile so a good way to use it is mix with some jasmine (will also help you labour) and lavender or ylang ylang, and put a few drops of this mix in some milk before adding it to your bath. Alternatively mix it with almond or olive oil and use this as a massage blend which you can rub around your belly. Don't apply too much as it is very strong, but this is an excellent blend for encouraging early labour or for strengthening weak contractions (use every 15 minutes until contractions are nice and strong)

I wish I did, I used an awful lot of it in the last week of my twins pregnancy to try and tempt them out and found it
