How true was it for you???

    Hi Girls,

I've been getting a bit of heartburn in the last week or so and everyone keeps telling me it means I am going to have a baby with lots of hair. I was just wondering for those of you who experienced heartburn in pregnancy, who did have a baby with lots of hair?

My boys all had lots of black hair and I never had heartburn. I am getting reflux with this PG but it doesn't burn, they are more like spewy burps all the time.

Not true. I had really bad heart burn late in my 2nd trimester and all through my 3rd and my bub had normal to small amount of hair.

I had it really bad with my first and my last, but only my first had loads of hair (I mean really thick, black and long) and my last had the least amount of hair of all my babies. Coincidentally though, they were both boys.

I had it bad both times, and both girls didn't have any hair when born.

The baby I had the least amount of heartburn with was the baby that had so a full head of hair when born.
    So, not true for me.

I had it waaay worse with Izzy and reflux - drank bottles of Mylanta and she was fairly bald with a few Homer strands! Considering bubs are head down for most of the 3rd trimester I think it might be an old wives tale!!

The old wives tale is that it is the hair tickling your insides, giving the heartburn.

    Completly impossible!!!

I have had BAD heartburn with all pregnancies, and have had 5 bald -as- badger babies!!!

Not true at all for me. I had a few nights of heartburn during pregnancy but my DS was born with more than hair me!! Everyone said that I must have had a rough trot with heartburn and when I tell them no, they seem astounded!

I had horrific heartburn. Absolutely EVERYTHING I ate gave me heartburn and there was not much I could do about it (you can only take so much mylanta/rennie, and drink only so much milk...)

Ok back to the point - Claire had a tiny bit of hair - certinaly NOT a head full of hair, and most of it fell out anyway so she ended up bald by a few weeks old. She still has barely any hair and is 19 months old.

Hiya Leigh!!!! Yep I am back on deck - kinda nearly - or just totally deliriously tired!

I had baaaad heartburn from halfway and kept Tums in business, Zander came out with fine light brown hair all over - not a full head or anything though

When I was preg with my DS I had no heartburn at all and he was born as bald as a badger. With my daughter I had the worst heartburn ever and she had masses of thick hair and now had a full head of curls whilst my DS still has fine straight hair.

    Was totally true for me!
