Question How are we all coping with the heat?

Oh my god! Like how hot is it today??? It said 40.2 degree celsius for Brisbane at 2.48pm today!!! And its normally 3 degree or so hotter here where I am being slightly more inland.

I am 32 weeks pregnant today - yaaay (almost there - sorta hehe), and it is reeeeally hard putting up with this heat being this big with no air con - still lol. But we are getting it soon.

I have been sitting in Lilys paddle pool with her in and out all day long, its all we can do, everyone else has their houses closed up and air cons on haha not us doin it the ole fashioned way! sheesh! lol.

Just wonderin how everyone else was coping in this horrid heat!

Yesterday I was real sick and dizzy when hubby got home from work cause I didnt drink enough fluid or eat enough for how hot it was I was almost passing out by the end of the day! And todays hotter! So I am tryin not to make the same mistake again although I dont feel like eating anythin, Ive been eating cold fruits, and already had 4L water! lol. And Im tryin to keep the fluids up to my 2 year old daughter too the poor thing!

So how is everyone else coping with the severe heat today???

Not too freakin fun I can tell you!!!!!!! I'm not as far along as you.. but still feel damn uncomfortable!!!! I hate the heat!!!! That's it.. I'm moving back to Tassie!!!

This is freakin' ridiculous! It is so hot! I should be grateful that it hasn't been like this all summer, but did it have to happen on the las weekend that I am pregnant????? Mother Nature has a sense of humour!
My hands and feet do not look like hands and feet anymore but rather big puffy slabs of flesh. Just glad I took my wedding rings off a couple of weeks ago.
The sea breeze has now picked up though and it is starting to cool down, so hopefully that is the end of the heat. It is almost pleasant.
Good luck to everyone having to suffer in the heat. Hopefully that is the last we see of it for this year. Can't wait for big fluffy jumpers and dressing baby in lots of warm snuggly gear!

yeah sounds like melbourne or Tassy might be the place to be today huh? lol. It is good we havn't had much of this extreme heat this year but my god its harder to bear when ya friggin pregnant! lol

I know about the water situation huh, me and Lily have been in and out of cold showers allllll day! lol I went to turn it off and she cracked up at me the poor little bugger lol.

Me tooooo! I am so for winter woolies bring it on! I am such a more pleasent person in winter than summer I honestly dunno why I live here! lol air con will make it more comfortable one day soon though lol.... soon...

We've been having troubles getting Lily to sleep of a night time from the heat and even then she wakes up bawling in a lather of sweat, we can only offer her shorts no shirt and a fan at the moment. So she slept ona pile of blankets on the loungeroom floor on the tiles where it was cool last night and I slept on the lounge! looks like its goin to be much the same again tonight

    Good luck to you all...

    Just remember KEEP DRINKING FLUIDS!!!

coz I know I have been de-hydrating far more easily since being pregnant too.... we all need much much more water!!!

This summer has been our worst for quite a few years. It's an absolute killer. We have a/c, and a pool, but I'm still extemely uncomfortable. My feet are swelling up big time tonight.
