Yay! Embrace the pain, sweets Tell yourself that it's a good thing. Personally, I would get DH to do the dishes (but that's cause I hate it, LOL!) and stick with the relaxing part. If you can possibly get some sleep, do that too. You will need all the energy you can muster, so while you are able to rest make sure you rest

The other girls had great suggestions, my labour pain was all back pain, and only knew it was labour becuase my waters had broken. Get DH to try and rub your back during contractions, or use a heat pack they might help.
I found kneeling and leaning on a bar stool and rocking it on two legs worked really well too, especially if your legs get tired
Walking and the shower will make a big difference and if you can handle a bath that will help relax you too.
