TT40 - tummy doesn't seem to get tight during them.

Jellybean - Thanks for the info. I guess I could have the same thing.

I've decided to lay in bed now (DH is not watching the most interesting tv tonight) and see what happens. If it keeps happening I might make a call.....I'll just feel awfully dumb if I call and have to go in and it's just wind pains....

Chody i had this with DD too, i think it started from memory about 30-32 weeks. i remember i was quite worried it was pre-term labour and even went into hospital a couple times because i was worried. Turns out (for me) it was just pre-labour or braxton hicks. by the time i was about 34 weeks i was 1.5cm dilated and about 50% effaced lol.

They always stayed between 15-30 mins apart and never lasted more than about 1 minute. i always made note of when they were happening to see if they started getting closer together, but they never did and i gave up after a couple hours

my doula said a good way to test if its "real labour" is to take a walk or jump in a bath/shower. if its pre-labour or braxton hicks it tends to ease them, and real labour it tends to intensify. dunno how true it is, but it worked for me when it was going on.

It could be because you have a slight tummy ache and its irritating the uterus?

    hopefully its nothing
