    Just wind pain????

Yesterday I had quite an upset stomach; a mix of wind and loose bowels.

Today I've been feeling like I have a bit of a sore stomach with what I was assuming was wind pains sporadically all day.

Anyway, a few hours ago I wondered whether they were wind pains and thought I'd see if there was any pattern to them. I've realised my 'wind pains' are coming every 20-30mins and lasting 40-60 seconds. Sometimes I find I do have some wind and other times I don't.

What do you think? Is it likely its just wind?

could be just wind. could be movement? next time you have the pain put your hand on your tummy, does it get tight? if you are really worried give your care provider a call. if bub is still moving as much as normal, and you haven't any discharge I would just keep an eye on it. also are you weeing ok? (dont need to actually answer that but just something to think about)

Bubs is moving heaps and I'm weeing just fine

I'm not too worried or anything, but I guess I'm just not sure whether I should be....I'm only 29 weeks..... I don't necessarily think its anything, but I was just wondering what others thought.

The last couple have been just over 30 mins apart - so maybe they're going away?

    Just wind pain????

I had to go to ob yesterday after getting frequent Braxton's from a tummy upset she says the upset guts are irritating my uterus so could be wind and something else could give ur mat unit a call and ask, I've just been lying on couch for 2 days it only helped a little but its finally settled down

TT40 - tummy doesn't seem to get tight during them.

Jellybean - Thanks for the info. I guess I could have the same thing.

I've decided to lay in bed now (DH is not watching the most interesting tv tonight) and see what happens. If it keeps happening I might make a call.....I'll just feel awfully dumb if I call and have to go in and it's just wind pains....

Chody i had this with DD too, i think it started from memory about 30-32 weeks. i remember i was quite worried it was pre-term labour and even went into hospital a couple times because i was worried. Turns out (for me) it was just pre-labour or braxton hicks. by the time i was about 34 weeks i was 1.5cm dilated and about 50% effaced lol.

They always stayed between 15-30 mins apart and never lasted more than about 1 minute. i always made note of when they were happening to see if they started getting closer together, but they never did and i gave up after a couple hours

my doula said a good way to test if its "real labour" is to take a walk or jump in a bath/shower. if its pre-labour or braxton hicks it tends to ease them, and real labour it tends to intensify. dunno how true it is, but it worked for me when it was going on.

It could be because you have a slight tummy ache and its irritating the uterus?

    hopefully its nothing
