    Question mucus plug question...

is it possable to lose the plug in little bits and pices?
i *think* i may have lost two little bits. but it wasn't 'bloody' or anything...rather...white/snotty but it had no smell to it...rather differant from that of my...normal discharge....
i've googled and cant find ANYTHING and i've also looked over the bb and found that people talk about it being bloody/brown blood but this wasn't
so im wondering if this is just a change in discharge or if it could be the start of loseing the mucus plug....
i havent 'ad any bad BH (that i know of) but i have had a fair bit of lower back pain...but that comes and goes...

    thank-ing you laides in advance!

It sounds like bits of your mucous plug to me! Yes, you can lose little bits of it at a time. You can lose parts of it for a while yet in the lead up to your labour.

My plug was kind of like jelly, not really bloody

Mine with DD2 was like that.
I lost bits of it for around 2 days before my labour started.
The back pain is probably a sign that your labour will start soon too!
Exciting! Shouldn't be long now I reckon!!

Definitely sounds like it is! My friend lost hers in little bits and pieces over the course of about a week, so it sounds like everyone is different!

    How exciting for you

Can you still have sex if that's the case? Is it only if your waters break that you can't??

Ooohhh I wonder if that means i've lost some of mine then? I've been having every now and then some "white milky" discharge does that sound like the plug?? I thought it was just discharge being in 3rd tri and all..... although it could be leftovers from dtd iykwim LOL
I too have had backache and on the sides on and off for days.

Baby Blip - you might go into labour before me!!!

I just did heaps of mopping of the floors hopefully that does something for me

Me too. Starting about 37 weeks with my DS I'd lose a bit, then go a few days...then lose a bit more.
Never was bloody until I was in labour.
    Sounds good!

Last time I had a big glob of what looked like white snot (sorry TMI) in my undies which was part of my mucous plug. Basically it was like a lump of quite firm CM. The OB assured me that I could still have up to 3 weeks to go - I went into labour 3 days later.

She sounds like a nutter. Even if you had tested + you wouldnt be able to see the "bugs" and no they aren't ALL bloody or brown. Far out no wonder people have little faith in the medical system. to you hun things are definitely moving along, and soon you will be holding your gorgeous baby in your arms, just focus on that and trust that your baby and body know EXACTLY what to do to birth your bub!
