My DH says were only having 1 because i avoid DTD every night! That is seriously the last thing on my mind at the end of the day - sleep is my number 1 priority!

When i head off to bed, bubs is moving around quite alot - and i don't feel comfortable dtd with her awake!!lol. I'm like reneenay though- having the raunchy dreams. I let my dh know - i might not be up to it, but at least I'm getting some relief in my dreams!!

For a little while during my 2nd Tri I thought it would be fun, cos I was feeling energetic & kind of content with my belly, but BIL sleeping about 10 feet away was a fabulous way to put both of us off the idea. And stupid man never thought to leave the house for a couple of hours on a weekend morning....

Now - the whole concept is just that, a concept. I can't imagine where those who are DTD are getting the energy, although good luck to them I say! I'm probably more worried about whether the urge is going to return afterwards, and even more concerned that watching me in labour & giving birth is going to turn DP off me forever...that would be sad.

It was my DH who went off sex, not me, whilst pregnant - but then, when I was on the Pill I had a higher sex drive too. It has stayed post-birth, but there's not much we can do about it now!

Just ask your DH if he wants to bash the baby's head - that was what was putting my DH off. That and the fact I was no longer slim.

I’m worried he will never look at it the same again. When it comes to romance (if we have any time after bubs arrives) I don’t want him to think of it as the ''thing that stretched to epic proportions & popped out a baby' or a 'baby passage' I would prefer him to still think of it as ....how can I say this........'the love express'. HAHA - Ive got to be kidding myself

Ok, we'll I've been up for it for the entire 2nd tri, unfortunately DH's been away on the other side of the world. Now I've hit the 3rd tri, it has suddenly disappeared, and DH is coming home, so I'll be sure to remind him he's missed the window of opportunity - LOL!

I must be one of "those" girls LOL! I am up for it in a big way from about 13 weeks, right up to the end. In fact I think it was a big late night session that brought on labour last time (blush!)

My libido was affected by depo provera a while back and certainly wasn't kickstarted by pg. DP thought I was a weirdo prude, too. Actually, he's still trying to pull that on me cos I'm rather fatigued chasing after adventure-boy, breastfeeding, studying, and trying to get back into fire brigade stuff!
The times I do feel like ripping him to shreds he is either asleep or too grumpy for me to bother approaching him...he doens't know how many times he's missed out!

Jodie During 2nd trimester I'm always a sure thing however 3rd semester I can bearly move, we do try but it's really uncomfortable so we don't bother much.
However with DD2 I couldn't have cared less if we ever had it again. So it does happen, but doesn't mean you will be that way with every pregnancy. Every pregnancy is different.

Thanks for all your replys ladies. My husband has been through them and well lets just say, he is not giving up. I just told him "ok well if i dont have to do anything like moving and its not uncomfortable which it will be, Im all for it". Sometimes really really early in the morning Im up for it but lately with the cold its better just to lay there.

Last pg my libido was very very high for the first trimester, and then dropped off to absolute zero for 2nd and 3rd trimesters (never really came back after that either).

This pg my libido has been a tiny bit higher than usual (which isnt very high at all!), but I'm sure it will drop off again no doubt...

I did not want it during 2nd and 3rd trimester while preggers with DS. Mind you I had morning sickness (actually, misleading name...all day every day for entire pregnancy sickness), and had contractions from 26 weeks....we were trying to keep him in but the doc didn't say we couldn't DTD. Hubby was up for it but with that going on I was not interested! I found if I told him how I was really feeling in graphic detail, that soon put him off the idea. We did find other ways to keep him "happy" iykwim.

i can count the number of times we have dtd since conceiving on two hands. most of the time i really could think of nothing worse, and then on the occaisions we do, i find it quite uncomfortable and often a little tender after - so am inclined not to dtd even if i am a little horny.

Last time we did it I bleed a bit. Was more friction burn than anything. So Ive been put off ever since. Plus the increase of fluids in general is off putting to me.

LOl - what a great thread. For the first tri dh and i were told to try not to dtd (as id had bleeding) then when we thought it was all systems go, i had another bleed at 14 weeks so no getting on for two more weeks, then i just didnt want it. We have dtd once since then and we are both fine without it for now, dh has just switched off the whole idea, and it suits me fine as i dont have to say no!

But there is something going on atm, i feel like i need it now after all this time and dh is away interstate
