i'm usually very regular but for the last three days i have been constipated. i've been taking metamucil and eating fruit and drinking water and still nothing!! this is the first time this has happened to me the whole pregnancy. is it a sign labour is coming or what does it all mean?

Maybe try some benifibre with your food? It used to work for me before i got pregnant (haven't really needed since i've become preggers). Its in a green bottle at woolworths. I normally just make myself a smoothie and add a couple of teaspoons. It tastes nothing like the horrible fibre from the chemists, it totally blends in and you dont even know its there.

It would be nice to think it's a sign of progress, but I'm not too sure about that! Try some prune juice, make sure you're drinking plenty of water and if it gets too bad mention it to your doctor.

    Hi Gracie
Sorry it is not a sign that labour is close. Try taking prune juice or pair juice. or better still eat the real thing. If this does not help then get some coloxyl and senna tabs fron the chemist and take 2-3 tabs once a day.
