just a vent, now officially overdue as I am wide awake at 5 in the morning.
my nose is blocked, my throat is tender, the baby is teasing me with signs, like large chunks of mucos plug over the last 2 days. immense downward pressure,
Then I lie down to sleep and it relaxes and settles in again!!
Kitt3n: I had added a week to my due date due to ds being 1 week late, and was more than happy with that date until I finished work, and Have had the worst 2 weeks, my body is wrecked, first full body muscle pain & now I have a cold. Plus DS has had a cold & flared up asthma in that time.
My body is telling me this is overdue, unfortunatley my body isn't in charge, bubs is
I was 10 days overdue with last DS, and the Dr said it could possibly happen again....I sure hope not! I have had low BP, low iron (very low) and had the worst couple of weeks since i hit third trimester! And knowing this I bet I will be overdue again as well! I don't want to be tho!
IT seems to be dragging on and on and on and on and on................
Sleepy nolan, hang in there, I still am, I've been telling everyoone this baby will be late, so if nothing else I will be right!!
It's getting to the stage where my husband is asking for time off work
but I have already reserved myself to the fact that today is out, (friends birthday, and he would get way too much pleasure in knowing it arrived on his birthday) and tomorrow is April Fools, I don't want my little one to have to contend with that every year.
I am thinking easter weekend would be nice, given I am going to a public hosi, I'm hoping that they will have arranged for their to be as few women left on the ward, and i won't have to share a room.
plus it's just a little to co-incidental that DS was due on the 27th of July & arrived on the 3rd of August exactly 1 week late, and that this one was due on the 27th of March and exactly 1 week late will be the 3rd of April.
I know due dates aren't exact, but seriously both my bubs have been very much laned & I know when conception occured, i'm trying to educate people that going iver is just in my genes. I can see the family history.
I think it's great that you have it in mind that baby now has to wait a few more days!
Not sure if you woudl want to try it but I had an osteo "pelvic tension release" massage with Laa just a few hours before she was born - I am sure that sped it all up quite alot!
it's 5.30 in the morning, I've been awake since 4, my husband is snoring, I filled half an hour on the loo & in shower. Iam attempting to type softly to avoid my sons super sensitive i can hear when mum is awake hearing.
I am now one week over and really starting to struggle with being overdue when the days are so long. I even did a lot of walking yesterday and helped my son participate in an easter egg hunt to encourage some downward motion.
I am crossing my fingers something happens soon, i''m sick of my family asking when it will arrive, and all be it they mean well, I wish they would all stop trying to take my first born away from me, it's not helping - I have even less distractions from the wait without him here.
Kitt3n, I would love any massage right now, but there is no chance I will get one.
every night I get pre-labour pains and can fell bubs moing down, and then I get to sleep and wake up at some rediculous hour of the morning where it feels like bubs has moved back up again.
Big comfy hug to you hun. I am sure that things will get moving soon.
Hey I just noticed that I am just down the road from you. I am in Maryborough at the moment. If you need anything I’m sure that I could pop round to your place.
kungfubecca - i really feel for you! I'm 35 weeks, and I wish it was over.....I can't sleep, have pains, and sooo uncomfortable.....if you have a wii fit, try the steps work out and just keep walking up and down stairs if poissible....lol
Ohh I know how you feel - I went 8 days over and it and everyone around me was driving me nuts! Sending you heaps of labour and beautiful birthing vibes
Hey Rebecca - just coming in to wish you lots of labour vibes soon, like today! I'm thinking of doing some star jumps cos nothing else is working to get this one of mine out, so I hear your pain
Alan, Maryborough is about half an hour away and I'm on the oposite side of Bendigo, but offer is much appreciated.
Sleepy Nolan, I have been considering some wii fit but I just got DS to sleep he has spewed twice today, damn asthma makes him swallow all the mucous his lungs produce and that's the way it comes out again, so i need him to rest and get better.
Thank you to everyone for the labour vibes, lost more mucous plug today too, so fingers crossed.
and if bubs comes tonight, then my mum will bare the 2 yo & daylight savings debarcal when he wakes at 5am tomorrow morning.
I thought I was reading my own messages for a minute there (see post What's going on?). I too am overdue, was due on 31st March and people are bombarding me every half hour to find out what's going on. I am up between 4-5am as my hips are in agony and I can't sleep, and it seems my body is all gearing up for labour each night and when I go to bed, it says "oh bugger it, I'm going to sleep" I know exactly what you mean, and I know its only a week from the due date, but when you feel like a whale and feel like your groin is going to fall apart, it gets annoying just hanging in there - every day feels like an eternity.
I am hearing your pain and frustration and all I can say is I hope it happens for you soon - and me. Would love to hear how it all goes. Lots of hugs your way!
Luv Jac xx
