it could also be how your acrrying some people carry infront others carry posterior so look like they are having minni babies but they ended up being 10 pounders
i looked like i was having twins with DD and only one 3.435kg baby came out
Have they decided it is a giant from your fundus height? Have they sent you for a scan?
Both are fairly inaccurate so I wouldn't worry too much. I was told that DS1 would be over 10 lb and he was only 6lb 15oz when he was born at 38weeks. Danny Devito is pretty small anyway.
Plenty of women have 'huge' babies without any trouble, and plenty of times the doctors are wrong about the size anyway. Try to relax, worrying won't change anything.
I was having an 11 pounder.. Apparently!![]()
I was measuring big from about 30 weeks which resulted in extra appointments, extra ultrasounds, the talk of a induction, a CS.. It went on and on!
Anyway, long story short.. DS came on his own at 39+2 weighing just over 9 pound!Perfect, straight forward labour. Big yes, but not the 11 pound I was apparently expecting according to midwives.
