I just want to suggest getting the Kotex Maternity pads, those things were my Saviour!! I had to have stitches and found them incredibly comfortable. I used two packs in the hospital as I changed them so frequently, petrified of getting an infection.

I ended up using these until my stitches were gone as I felt quite fragile without the 'cushioning' to sit on

I took only two bras but ended up bra-less most of the time in there. Lived in my trackie pants and t-shirt.

One other thing I took was a hand held mirror, just for those quick touch ups before visitors came.
