I am seriously uncomfortable! I've been getting these sharp pains running down the whole right side of my body - starting from my ribs..and they hurt like hell! Sometimes , i get this pain run down my legs and i can no longer walk etc. I've had them on and off while lying in bed tonight, and i am quite concerned about it. Does anyone have any idea what this is and if its a normal pregnancy thing? Is is safe to take some panadene forte for the pain and discomfort? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Mysti - If you have any concerns phone the hospital and they would be happy to answer your questions to be on the safe side. It could just be the baby is leaning against a ligament.
If it is in the back it might be your sciatic planning up. It is normal for it to give you pain during pregnancy. but of course as Cheryl said call the midwives and explain it to them if you are really concerned. Try changing positions when it starts to hurt and see if that helps. Pandadol is ok to take for it.
I have something similar,
Weird sort of pain on the right side, mainly on my stomach though, it gets worse at night time.. I was wondering what this was as the pain can get real bad a night in bed, Im thinking it maybe the baby kicking against something, but let us know how you get on if you go to the docs.
I see the doctor this week so i'll let you know what she said about this pain. From what i've researched though, its likely to be bubs sitting on a nerve....i had this pain again last night, and got up to move around, and that seemed to relieve it. Not much else you can do really, apart from give birth! (2 weeks to go, and they will surely be the longest 2 weeks of my life!)
I will be hanging out for all the details once you have your baby boy. This may well be the longest 2 weeks, but once he is born time will fly.... Thinking of you. TC
