Unhappy paranoid & ****ed off...a vent

Anyone else getting frustrated & uncomfortable at this stage? Was doing fine till last week but over the last few days it all seems to be going to pot! Can't sleep, no energy, heartburn & indigestion that even Gaviscon is failing to help, nausea, no appetite, grumpy, uncomfortable.

Add to that the fact that I keep getting paranoid that something's going to happen to the baby inside & I won't notice - woke up at 4am today & was getting frantic that the bub wasn't moving despite poking and milky drinks. Of course the poor thing was just having a nap & woke up & moved and squirmed around plenty a bit later! I'm sure it was saying "Oh Mum!"

Sorry for the vent, just needed to get it off my chest and see if anyone else feels the same way.
Roll on the next 2 weeks....!

totally remember that feeling inthe last month! Hang in there it will all be over and done with in a couple of weeks, you will have your perfect little bubin your arms in no time (then you'll be remembering how much easier life was when you were still pg!)

I think pregnancy is a stage when a mom turns a little "paranoid" as some may called it. Although I still have about 10 weeks to go, I dreamed that something bad will happen... apparently, it's a common thing for pregnant women to go through in their third trimester. And as for me, I think it's been a symptom since day 1 that I knew I was pregnant. Our motherly nature is working its way everyday in our pregnancy.

The no sleep, fatigue days are horrible. I wake up every night several times. But you don't have too much longer to go, hopefully these days will just fly by for you so you could hold your bub in your arms!

I used to do the same thing.. become paranoid especially if I couldn't remember how many movements I'd felt!! Poor thing is lucky he didn't come out with little poke bruises on him!! All the best for your birth and then you'll be able to just hold your little bubba.

I could have written your exact post. I am forever poking and prodding this poor baby when it doesn't move. I always seem to get particularly paranoid at 2.00 in the morning when my husband has been asleep for hours and I am still up worrying about the baby's health.

Hey Aisling - just as an aside, we were thinking of that name for the baby. Do you pronounce it Ash-ling?

    Cheers, Meg

Hi Aisling (my nieces middle name! are you Irish by chance?)

My last couple of weeks was just plain horrible, I remember going over the West Gate bridge, I had to pull over and have a good cry, you are not allowed to stop on the West Gate so I had to hold it in until I got over and just pulled over. This sort of mood can happend any time of the day or night, you can laugh about it once it's all finally said and done!

    Take care

    Thanks guys!

yes, Meg, you do pronounce it Ash-ling and good guess Heather, I am Irish! The one thing Meg, is that while it's quite a common Irish name & there's no problem with pronouncing it there, here you can get anything from Ashley, Ainsley, Ehsling, Ice ling....so I've gotten used to answering to anything starting with A. But we're looking at other Gaelic names for our bub so I've been trying to consider how Aussies will manage them!

Thanks again for all the support everyone,

I understand the reflux thing - nothing helps me now either! I am a bit like you - i tend to worry about lal the thigs that can go wrong. WEll I did that more earlier. What I do now is look around me: family, the shops, school anyway really and look at how many "normal" everyday people there are and they came out okay so you have more chance of that happeneing than something really terrible. Does that make sense? it helps me anyway otherwise I would go mad. And also - you'll love your baby no matter what - I'm positive!

Hey Meg and Aisling, my other nieces name is Aoife (eefa) as my sister inlaw is Irish, one of the top 5 or 10 names in Ireland. When you go into a Dr's surgery or any place they ask for you by name, they usually say "Baby Moore", she is such a cutie, my little boy Ben and Aoife are only two weeks apart.

    bye for now
