Plug Question... Alan do you know???

I am just wondering roughly how much plug does a pregnant woman have?

I have been losing bits of plug for about two weeks now.... I assumed its the plug and the DR says it would be .. it is a jelly like texture,clear or slightly tinged.... sort of looks like when you blow your nose .... sorry TMI.....

I am curious about how much plug we actually have ?

i lost mine for 2 weeks leading up to birth too.
But the 2 days b4 hand it was different, bright red and clobs like period almost!

The size of the plug will vary quite a lot for different women but on average it would be enough to fill a tablespoon. However when you lose your plug over time I suspect that your body tries to replace it and therefore it will appear to be quite a bit more than the average.

I've started to lose something today too!! Clear and jelly like...almost like a big nose blow - TMI - sorry!!

mrsr - tht makes 2 of us honey...mine was this morning..ive never lost any plug before with my other children so I was a bit freaked out. I wnet to go for a shower and though...what the hell is that gathered down there and OMG it looks like white SNOT!!!!!! No blood in mine and Alan thank you for easing my mind with your reply above.

hey girls, I am 31 weeks and I had big blob in the toilet bowl, I just thought maybe it was thick discharge but reading this I am starting to think that maybe it is some of the mucus plug.

hi girls.....wow it looks like things are starting to happen for a few of you, very exciting indeed won't be long now til you have your little bubba's in your arms.

Can remember losing my plug in the shower with my first child whilst in hospital in the thick of things but honestly i can't remember if i lost it with my second....it all happened too quickly
