    Another plug question...(TMI warning)

    Hi everyone,

I can't quite remember from last time.. I lost part of what i thing was my plug around 35 weeks (still went 10 days over), i just remember wiping after going to the loo with a bit of mucous and blood.

Today after i went to the loo, there was more mucous then normal - almost looked like i had a cold and had blown my nose.

But for some reason i thought it was a big more like a biggish round blob of mucous?? Or could todays just been a bit more discharge - especially as i have been overdoing it today (painting etc...), rather than a plug? There was no blood or anything.

    Thanks.

Yael, the only two times I saw my 'show' were both different. The first time it was just a bl00dy smear on my knickers and this time round I started losing it firstly as really sticky opaque/clear mucus and some of it came in a blob and other times it was really stringy - definately not normal mucus. It wasn't until about 8days after that it became blood stained. It's possible it's the start of your plug coming away.

I would describe mine as being really stringy too. Excpet mine had blood in it also.

Hmmm, this is interesting. With DD I had a show the morning my contractions started - it was really obvious that that's what it was. There was heaps of it and it was very blood stained.

I have noticed some strange looking mucus the last few days and wondered what it was, I never though it might be part of the plug starting to come away though. I hope so!!

Alan - I actually thought it could be caused by the EPO that I'm inserting?? (sorry to hijack Yael!!)

Without being able to see it it is hard for me to say what it is but it could either be your plug or it could be an increase in your CM which is common in late pregnancy
