I've been finding myself peeing alot more (obviously) and whenever I go for a pee, there's always more and more CM on my undies (sorry for the TMI)
Anyways, this morning when I woke up, I noticed the CM on my undies was a peachy color.. Is that something related to your 'show'?
And another question I've wanted to ask was how long after your 'show' did bub arrive? I've not had the blob of mucous that is the 'show' yet - but I just wanted to know.
It could be... as far as I understand the show and the plug are two different things... both can happen gradually over a period of days or all in one go, ie, you can find a build up of jelly like clear stuff over a few days, or a big chunk. If it's blood streaked, then this is the bloody show. It may vary in colour from dark to light.
I haven't noticed loss of the plug or a show in past 2 pregnancies but have had it this time, over the last three days. I am 36w5d today. Waiting!
Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong with my definition above... it's a little confusing isn't it.
When mine started I knew it was it, there was HEAPS!! Just like ewcm but a LOT! Gross hey, lol. It started in the morning and I was in labour that night
Mine was more like the mucous plug with a bit of blood in it. I thought the plug and the show were the same thing? I 'lost' mine at 38 weeks and had DS at 38+2. But I've read it can be anywhere up to 3 weeks away.
Hmm...I had 2 different things.
DD1 I had a grey coloured blood streaked stringy kinda loss, in 2 seperate parts. I was in labour that night, but it can be up to a week. At the time I thought that was the show.
DD2 I had very thick white mucous over about a week & I thought that was the plug.
But...when I had DS, I didn't see it, they said I was having my bloody show, so I'm guessing there was more blood?? I didn't have any cm or anything before labour with him though...no warning signs at all!
I think I may have had a tiny bit of extremly faint spotting one night and then I awoke the next morning with mild contractions. When I went to the loo I had lots of CM streaked with blood. 58hours later i was holding my son.
I had mucas plug coming out for weeks before DD arrvied, but didn't have a 'show' until the morning I went into labour. Not too much longer for you to go now. Take care
I think i am getting bits of the plug now????... like thick clear/yellow jelly about the size of a 20c piece (and over 3 occasions today)... no bloody streaks or pinkish colouring, but lots of it.. big blobs when i wipe... not like normal discharge. No contractions, but a bit of period like pain over the last couple of days.
Is it ok to still have sex and take baths?? I figured it would be ok since the amniotic sac/waters havent broken, so technically baby is still in a sterile sac.... but thought i should ask... although i did just get out of the bath (oops).
With Anelise, I had some contractions that I thought were just BH's and then I went to the toilet and there was lots of mucus... lots! No plug as such, just loads of mucus.
About 2 hrs later my waters broke and I was in full labour. Bub was born 2 hrs later.
My plug loss was loads & loads of what looked like EWCM but got thicker during the day. I also had a show which started as a streak in the EWCM like stuff but became bleeding as the day progressed. I went into labour that night & gave birth the following afternoon.
I had to wear a pad for the last week of my pregnancy because I was losing so much mucus. I found out during labour that I had no waters left - so I had been slowly seeping them out over days too!
I had labour pains on the Tuesday, then went into full labour late Wednesday night. I'd been losing 'plug' for about 4 days before the Wednesday. But I think I might be the exeption to the rule!
