    Question Reduced movements??

Hi all! I am36.5 pregnant and have noticed this morning that my bub isnt moving as much as what she usually is. Its only been this morning but normally she is kicking up a real stink right about now and she has barely moved. Her head is fully engaged - could this mean that she is gearing up for her grand arrival? I have been keeping a kick chart since 8 this morning and nothing so far! I may be jumping the gun a little but someone suggested that babies stop movements when they are ready to come into the world? Is this right?

Close to the end Chelsea done the same. 2 days before she was born, i felt nothing all day and was so worried....so i called the hospital, went in and i got monitored...all was fine...but i was told cos she was ready to come she slowed down.

So it could be any day....when in doubt call the hossy, have a icey cold drink, lay down. But id call the hossy if she does not move within the next hour or so

Call and talk to the hospital, even if they laugh at you they are still there for you. I had Ryan stop moving the other morning for 3 hours, he usually moves 24/7 literally he does not stop so I was in a right panic. The midwife laughed but checked his heart beat and he was fine but at least I wasn't in a panic and stressed state for the rest of the day till he moved

It wasn't a nasty laugh though she was a little old lady, sort of felt like she took on a "grandma" role. Although I agree wasn't the best reaction but I was more concerned about getting Ryans heart beat checked lol. He's been really quiet today was starting to worry but had a cold drink and just got two big kicks for the day. It's not a nice feeling just waiting and hoping for that "I'm still ok mum!" boot.

Have you tried a cold drink, eating and laying on your back Rebecca and maybe giving your belly a rub? That usually sets Ryan off gettin an ass massage lol

with my first i still had 9 days to go and went a whole day without feeling movment everyone told me it was bub's getting ready to come and they were right because te next day she was born.. i think there is somthing in it, but your better being safe then sorry and calling the midwife just to make sure.... i got in trouble when i got to the hospital for not coming in sooner because my daughters heart rate was "flat" if your not feeling baby move then deffinatly get it checked out.

i had the same thing before my last check up and then when checking baby's heart beat.. we couldn't hear it properly because the little bugger was moving around so much and thats all we could hear on the dopler thingy..... but i couldn't feel it.. we eventually got to hear the heart beat and everything was fine... i guess its jut one of those things.. but if you are at all concerned then definately contact your hospital.. thats what they are there for.
