thread: Severe back pain, should I be concerned?

    They pretty much said it was just part of pregnancy and that was it. Even though from early on every time I lay flat my pelvis spasms and I can't get up on my own because of the pain. So I guess they weren't very helpful! Didn't bother rescheduling either.
    Urgh. this is such the usual response that hospital care provides...oh it's just part of pregnancy...yes, yes it is, but it is also a really VALID thing. It hurts! rather than just fobbing you off and telling you to suck it up they should at least acknowledge it and provide advice on how to manage it.

    It is, isn't it!? I feel that all my questions are fobbed off LOL. I got some good tips from my MW at my OB's today so I feel a bit better. Oh and i bought more panadol
