I was just coming in to be completely immature and say 'YES it is probably wrong to have sex at an ultrasound'. Tee hee.
Going by the title thats what I thought it was about

With both my girls I have been told Im "holding" like Im having a boy. This maks no sense! My friend held both hers exactly the same yet one was a little girl and one was a boy!

Believe what you see on the screen, and what the professionals tell you....believe me...theyre right lol
    Affraid not all the time

I was told by 2 different professions at 2 different u/s clinic's that I was having a girl. Even when we had the 4D one we were told girl....

I now have a 20 month old BOY. Yes the u/s were wrong all together, very single one of them. I lived on BB at the time of my pg so it was well know. I had to do room changes, take back all my brand new pink clothing EVERYTHING girly. I was devistated

FWIW I also carried the same as I did with my daughter but honestly...it makes no bloody differnece. I also had a strong gutt feeling I was carrying a boy and was continuously pulling the wee out of myself saying..it will come out a boy...mother knows best

Killng myself laughing at Nelle's comment!!

Anyway, my two kids were both correct by ultrasound.

This one is a boy, seen it in 3D at 17 wks and normal scan at 19 wks. I've brought blue clothes and I am buying blue furniture, thats how confident I am its a boy due to what I saw on scans and words/comments the Sonographers used, which I didn't think they were allowed to - 'without a doubt a boy' & 'definately a boy'.

I don't think anyone's mentioned this yet, but from what I can tell, it's easier to be sure about a boy than a girl. Because if you see a little penis then that's a bit of a giveaway, but if you can't get a good view, it could be that you just can't see it.
Which is why I guess I view a boy verdict a bit more confidently than I'd view a girl verdict.

That's what we were always told, buuuuuut....
my sister was told at her 19 week scan (& I think another one after), that she was expecting a boy. By 28 weeks it had changed to a girl. When she asked how they got it wrong the first time they said sometimes the labia can be a bit swollen & look like testicles or a penis.
So she has now gone & bought pink...we'll find out in a few days!

I know someone who was told absolutely 100% girl at 37 weeks and it ended up being a boy. But most of the time they are correct.

Now Im scared! Dont get me wrong what ever sex is fine, but once being told a girl, Im not ready fo a boy!

I have heard of them saying its a 'boy' when its a girl alot more then visa versa, as the 'bits' can be enlarged.
