My grandfather passed away when I was 36 weeks. I travelled in a car for 8 hours (700km) to the funeral and 700km back 3 days after the funeral. I really don't recommend travelling that far if it is non essential travel. I was pretty uncomfortable sitting in the car. The whole time I was away I was worried I was going to go into labour as well and I didnt want that. I wanted to be close to my ob but it all worked out and I got to say goodbye to my lovely Pa.
