Yup - gotta wash everything, They use heaps of icky chemicals on new clothes to make them stay fresh and give them that new clothes smell - bub's might have sensitive skin and get a nasty rash, I washed everything in LUX flakes (pure soap flakes made especially for special care garments) and Cuddly fabric softener (to make them smell pretty) because all the women in my family told me to!

You have to be careful with some types of fabric softeners, They have a warning on the back that they may decrease fire resistance in children's sleepwear - If you're worried about that. You can get fabric softener for babies though
