A little update - Rang the hossy and the MW told me as it wasn't happening during the day then it would only be water mucus and there can be a lot during preg. She said to wear a pad and if it gets really wet then I can take it in for testing again.
I must say I felt as though she was rushing me when I was talking, I tried to explain what had happened when I went to hossy on Fri morning, but she just cut me off and said 'yep yep yep and...' I had such a good experience at this hossy with DD, but I didn't have anything out of the ordinary with her. I'm not feeling very confident with them there at the moment... Nothing I can do about it though, the joys of living in a small town!
Thank you all for your advise. I will just keep an eye on it all and see how we go from there.
Well maybe the MW were just busy when you called again. It is a small hospital like you said, and it musnt be anything to worry about.
Its rubbish how they make you feel like you're just annoying them tho. Because stress can bring on the baby, and you think they would be doing everything they could to stop you from stressing.....oh well, I guess we can't get happy, nice, caring MW's all the time
CBG - Thanks for that! haven't heard of doing that before, might ask my OB on Tues and give it a go! I really don't like smelling my underwear so much to try and decipher what it is!
Sleepy - She must have been busy because I really haven't had anyone ever rush me like that before, just didn't make me feel very good with her getting only part of the story, but it's ok, she must have got enough info from me to give me advice. I am feeling a lot more relaxed about it all now!
Sorry to hear your MW was so unsupportive honey... I really think you should listen to your gut on this one... If you had more leaking overnight and suspect it may be your waters then don't bother calling, just show up and insist on them checking. It can't hurt...
In my experience what she told you about leaking during the day is completely untrue. My waters only leaked if I had been lying down, so overnight I had a bit and then the next day next to nothing. That was until I decided to have a snooze on the couch for an hour or so. I got up and had a tiny trickle down my let (didn't have any undies on). When I called the hospital they were also a little sceptical but told me to come in just in case, sure enough when they tested my pad it was amniotic fluid.
My OB put me on AB's right away (I hadn't been tested for GBS) and I was instructed to check my temperature every 3 hours to make sure I wasn't developing an infection. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt for you to just keep an eye on your temp just to be sure.
Good Luck! Whatever happens you'll be meeting your LO very soon x
