I've never made it to my edd the closest I've gotten was 5 days early... But I agree with the others rest if that's what you feel you need to, I certainly did! (or tried to at least) I only ever got little bursts of nesting -much to the disappointment of my dh lol- but I figured it was better to be rested & relaxed for the birth than tired & stressed out coz I hadn't finished something. I decided that either the things I'd like done would get done by someone else or they could wait til I got to it after. As long as I had some newborn clothes & linen & of course everything for delivering at home with the last two then everything would just work out.
Just go with what you are feeling. If you feel to rest, then rest and don't think I 'should' be doing blah blah... if you feel a burst go with it, not over doing it, but also stay present with the burst and get some things done. I find the waves at the end are time for you to connect in with what you need, so listen as this is part of the preparation to birth and mother.
PS- I am listening to Loren Kate as I typed this, look up her song Ukeaby Baby she has a website that you can listen to her CD, it's about her waiting for her baby to arrive, it is soooooo sweet!
