I had the worst insomnia! I'd spend all night awake like an owl watching junk tv and playing around on the Internet. During the day I was a walking machine. It was the only thing that I felt comfortable doing!! ... And nesting! Boyyyy did I nest!

LOL @ rock cakes!!!! Whats even worse is I just looked up a recipe cos I realised I hadn't had any in ages and they sounded great - might end up cooking some of those later lmao
Thats one fun thing to do when you're out Onyx, people always ask when you're due, and you have the best response. Today. Yesterday. A few days ago LOL. They do look at you like the baby is going to fall out!
Thanks for sharing your stories everyone, I am glad I am not the only one who doesn't have a nesting craze. Its in my head! But thats about it hehehe. I would so love to pamper myself to keep busy (best idea ever!!), see friends and family - but I have moved 1.5 hours away from the city to be with my partner - the nearest cinema is 45 minutes further north and there really isn't much here at all - maccas, KFC, Safeway, Coles.... LOL. Enough to drive you batty! I guess I will just have to work on my guilty feelings, even though I KNOW I am going to kick myself for not having taken advantage when the baby is here.

I never got the nesting thing either, Kelly, and I was young with Liebs. At 40+3 (by hospital dates - so 39w by mine) I went to the shopping centre and was ordered out a shop by a manager after asking when I was due ("3 days ago" clearly not the right answer to give). I also read the entire discworld series from about 35w onwards as I figured I wouldn't have much time when Liebs arrived.
I also went running, for long walks, ate curries, drove on bumpy roads, had sex, used evening primrose oil, danced... did the whole "if you want your baby to arrive do this" stuff from about 39w (hospital dates) onwards. Liebs arrived 40+2 by my dates and 41+6 by hospital dates, so guess that didn't work.
Ds's due date was his 100th day in NICU.. We had balloons and got given a nice card signed by the nurses. We also had a 4 hour snuggle
I know it's not the usual due date story, but I just wanted to share
ETA: actually no it wasn't!! Just checked back through the blog.. His 100th day was the day before lol.. So in actual fact, on his due date he sat up for the first time (with the back of his bed raised) had a big bath and because his central line had split it got taken out and he had an IV put in.. I was there for all of it just loving my son to pieces..
