I didn't slow down until I was giving birth either. You've gotta do what has to be done pregnant or not. When you've already got kids and are pregnant life is alot more hectic. I remember when i was pregnant with my first I had loads of time to relax but with my other 2 pregnancies I was flat out all day every day, I'm surprised I had time to sleep lol.

Hun, I powered on like a trooper until about a week before dd was born. then I just got this urge to sleep- every time ds napped, i would too. Did me the world of good

But, no, I would say not too much, if you feel ok, then soldier on

thank god... here i was thinking i am going nuts or something.

With DD i worked up until about 1.5wks before i had her and then when i got home from work i packed boxes to move and kicked them along the floor to the spare room... we moved 2 days b4 she was born... i unpacked boxes in those 2 days... hehe

I just feel bad as another mum @ MG is 12wks behind me and she is buggered, has no energy etc etc... she's half my size (weight wise and i wish i was as tiny as her) and she just wants to sit and do nothing... she doesn't know how i do it and says i make it look easy??????

    You sound busy!!

But if you feel fine and that you can/want to do things, and your pg is also going ok then I don't see any reason why you should stop doing what you normally do. As you said, you're pregnant, not an invalid! If you were feeling exhausted and stressed out etc then that would be your body telling you that you need to slow down, you will know if you need to start taking it a bit easy.

And yep, you gotta do what you gotta do, life goes on and you have your DD to run around after, little kids stop for no one!

I think if you are handling it fine then go for it, just listen to what your body needs and take a break if you want it. Good on you for not using it as an excuse, we are just pregnant not disabled. I know people who milk it and use every excuse under the sun to get out of doing things, like cant carry the basket of washing to the line and put arms above their heads and stuff because it can twist the umbilical cord wt????

Everybody and every pregnancy is different. My first I was studying full time and was a mad hatter nester and clean freak for months. This one I have already finished studying for the year, DD keeps me on my toes but I have sacrolliac joint dysfunction so I cant go like I feel I want to, it drives me insane that there are things to be done (in my head anyway) because it gets to the point where I cant go anymore because I cant physically handle the pain or walk.

Getting sidetracked, but anyway, you go girl.

Forgot to add before, but my mw reckons women who are really active during their pregnancy (as opposed to sitting round on the lounge) have much easier, faster labours and births. So maybe you should slow down a bit hun- you might make it to the hospital that way (joking, you know I'm joking )

Not crazy Avasmum! If you're feeling up to it all (obviously you are!) then go with it. I've been the same, have something planned every day. Today I had to do some Christmas shopping and spent 5 hours out at the shops. Tomorrow, though I am doing nothing, staying at home because from Tuesday until Christmas, I've got things to do every single day on top of the usual housework etc.

So, yeah, keep doing what you feel comfortable with. At least you're not sitting around the house waiting and waiting! But do make sure you give yourself a bit of time out to put your feet up and relax before #2 comes
