sounds like gastro mate. I get that sometimes also. I was a sufferer of IBS so I know the symptoms very well and the feeling sick part is usually the first sign that something is in there that wants to come out in a hurry. Its a horrible cramping feeling that can often be all over the abdo (up high and low) as well as the back. Once the pressure is relieved by either passing it or passing wind the aches will start to back off. I used to suffer with the bowel spasms for hours later even after the problem had resolved itself. That is when I used to take buscopan but your not supposed to take that while pregnant.
A warm shower or heat back on your lower back might help relax the bowel as well as a couple of Panadole. And rest up, relax and don't panic.
Well I went to the labour ward today to get monitored. They have said that it was definitely contractions and told me off for not going in immediately so next time it happens I have to head right in. I am definitely getting BH's all day but since they are not painful I am not stressing about them. Looks like little man is in a hurry to meet his older brother and mummy and daddy. I just want him to hang on for about 4 more weeks. I am now officially not allowed to do anything more strenuous than dusting which to me is a pain, I am just such a go go go person I even came home from the hossy and vacuumed
No Sarah! Do not vacuum! Trust me, you do not want this little one out until he is well and truly cooked! The first thing I thought when I read your post was that you were having cx. I know how bl00dy hard it is, but you're just going to have to rest until your bubba makes an entrance, it's just too important. Think of it as a good excuse to spend more time on BB And if it happens again, STRAIGHT to hospy for you, that's an order LOL.
Hang in there, and tell your baby to hang on too!

Thanks girls! All seems well now. I still can't slow down though. I was out walking again today. He has definitely dropped into my pelvis quite firmly, I feel a lot of discomfort around my cervical area that indicates this as well as my belly sitting a lot lower. I have checked my own cervix though and I would say there is no effacement and I can't quite reach to inaccurately tell if I have dilated but I don't think I have. Maybe my body is just practising for the real deal. I am trying to read up if other people have had a similar experience and it isn't all too uncommon. One thing the others have in common though is that their doctors did a test to check the risk of pre-term labour and no one did that test for me, is it just not a test done here or is it inaccurate? For now I will just assume I am not at risk because I don't want to slow down and I will just keep a close eye on things in the meantime...
Wow Little Mis Sunshine i am having the same thing at the moment. I have had consistent BH in the top of my uterus and then also have diahorrea, but finding that it is a push to come out rather than just flow (SORRY TMI). I have been constantly feeling sick in the stomach and feel like my morning sickness is coming back (as i have had it really bad at the beginning). My problem is i don't think i have dropped and bub seems to pop in and out of pelvis. I feel like if i gave one huge push so that i could break my waters things might start happening but of course it doesn't work like that. I also have a little nigglinging in my side and back but not much. I jsut think mine might be Gastro.
Goodluck with everything and i hope your little man will hang in for you for the next few weeks.
