    What should I do?

    Heya all,

For the last two days I've had really really bad back pain and (warming TMI) a lot of toilet activity (pretty sure I couldnt be more empty). For the last week I've had really regular BH that haven't been painful. Last night I bled about a pad full and was in hospital being monitored till 3am, all they did was take my urine and hook me up to a heap of machines to monitor bubs and my heart.

The dr on call was too busy with another lady to see me so at 3am they said I'd probably be comfier at home (which is 5 mins from hospital) so they let me go but said if the bleeding continues or I get a lot of a heaps watery discharge to go back.

This morning the bleeding is stopping, (TMI warning again)for about a week now I've been losing a lot of goo (CM) and today feel really weak and had another toilet session and back pain is getting worse but have only had one cramp, I had none last night..

What should I do? Should I go see them again or am I paranoid? They didn't do a stretch and sweep I think its called or whatever they do to see if youre about to labor because the dr was busy and said it was a waste of time?

Bubs is kicking away fine and HB was very strong. Just wondering what I should do..

I would give them a call and see what they suggest. I agree with Ange though if you didnt get to a Dr last night might be best to see one today. My fingers are crossed for you that everything is fine. Let us know how you go.

I'd go back or at least call - it cant hurt and better to ease your mind esp if the Dr was too busy for you yesterday. Best of luck and let us know how you get along...

Hey all, I got an emergency 5 second consult with a dr to have a squish around. I'm on bedrest, not allowed to stimulate the uterus (sex, caffiene etc etc), no heavy lifting etc my blood pressure was high last night and is really low today so I'm not meant to drive and prefer me not to be by myself incase I pass out etc (Dad2be works all day though so meh I'll try to avoid the bathroom and kitchen benchtops).

They said I don't appear to be in early labor but if my pains become rythmic then I call for the hospital straight away, feels like if I sneeze I need to call the hospital the amount of stuff they were rattling off... if I start to go into labor I have to go on steroids or something to try and prevent it for at least 3 more weeks after that they dont care when bubs wants out..

They think it's because Ryan insists on laying sideways rather than up or down and is putting pressure on where I bled from before (but wouldnt do a u/s to confirm it didn't have time) at 8 weeks pregnant and that until he turns they think I may bleed on and off a bit if that is the problem.

There are so many boxes of stuff to unpack though they're making me twitchy I want it all put away before Ryan arrives but don't want to hurry Ryan's arrival along by trying to unpack before he gets here lol is a catch 22..

I guess worse things could of happened I just wish he along far enough to come out and be safe in my arms where I can see him instead of not knowing..

Celtic- as irritated all those boxes might make you its not worth trying to unpack any of them. It could trigger something off that cannot be stopped.
The boxes will be there for when DH gets a chance to unpack, you can deligate where everything goes but dont do any of it yourself!

I know, it's just annoying finally finished fulltime work, then got all those assignments in and was ready to set up the nursery and get this house feeling more like a home and now I feel like I'm totally useless while Dad2be has to work I have to do nothing. I know it's for a good reason and I don't want to put Ryan at any risk whatsoever just feel like my only purpose at the moment is to be a stationary incubator. All the dr's cared about was that Ryan felt ok, all the pains etc I have, all the nasty cramps etc meant absolutely nothing as long as I keep on being an incubator... just all stressful and depressing. Fingers crossed he wants to stay in for a few more weeks though

    Hey Celticmoon,
I understand the quandary. you want bubs to be safe, but you also want them out to help ease the pain and know that they are ok. Hopefully your symptoms will ease and staying at home will provide some relief,

    Good luck hun,

Just thought I'd update other than really bad back pain and leg cramps all is well, he's still transverse but he has turned a few times and turned back so he can do it!

Have a follow up appointment tomorrow at the hospital near my parents wish me luck . Also had someone come look at the house to rent out the spare room so Dad2be went into a flurry and almost all the boxes got unpacked and put away NEATLY in 2 hours so not so upset about the house not being ready incase Ryan comes early yay! I bet he comes late now just to show the drs up, lol, the first two bleeds I had (first trimester) they said he was a goner but nope held on

Celtic - I know what you mean. My little one insists on laying sideways. Dr felt her the other day and she was head down but the time he got my hands to where I could feel her head she had moved and was lying head right, bum left. Same at the ultrasound. When i asked she was head down but the report states transverse lie. GREAT!! But obvioulsy she is still moving around trying to find the best position for her. But I must admit - sleeping on either side is rather difficult - she seems to really kick up a fuss - could just be that I am pushing her head/bum around. Good luck with everything!
