Kate- thank you. Yes I am up in arms whether I want this or not. I think I might go with my gut and say no to both the internal and the s&s. I would just hate it if I let him do this and the membranes broke by 'accident' when obviously this could be avoided. With DD my membranes broke prematurely after getting out of a cramped back seat. I would really like to have everything go as natural as possible and the dr can say this isn't considered intervention but it is. I am glad he gave me the heads up and a chance to think about it. If he'd dropped this on me right at 38 wks I might not have been on my guard.
