Whats Going On??.....frustrated!!

Hey Everyone.

Im feeling a little confused and frustrated here.....I had an appointment with my dr last tuesday and after checking, he told me my bubs was fully engaged, now....today, a week later after checking again he said that bub is sitting quite high again and his head is only slightly in the pelvis!!!

Can this Happen? and why?

I hope someone can help

Hi, apparently it is normal in some people to have bub engage then not then engage etc. The same thing happened/is happening to my SIL. she has engaged twice atm she is 40(wow today actually)weeks and only 2/5ths but at 33 weeks and 36 weeks was fully engaged. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy Not long now.

Babies can move themselves up and down, in and out of your pelvis right up until you go into labour.

More than likely at your next appt he will be back down there. Or, even better, you don't need another appt

Yeah, my DD did this too. Very frustrating since everyone was telling me she'd need to be fully engaged before i could give birth. Well on the Friday morning she was 2/5ths engaged and she was born 6.20pm on Saturday so obviously it was BUNK!

Don't worry about it, your baby will come out in his own sweet time and until he's about ready to he might go on fidgeting.

I find it frustrating the emphasis that is put on babies being engaged, or not. I have read so much stuff that says a huge number of babies do not even engage until during labour, yet people always ask if the baby is engaged, doctors always check etc. I remember with my first pregnancy my son hadn't engaged and I just felt so dissapointed all the time when people would ask and I would have to say no not yet, yet it really doesn't make a difference.

Don't worry about it, your baby will come out in his own sweet time and until he's about ready to he might go on fidgeting.

I agree with that totally!!
