    I agree that her behaviour seems inappropriate. I would make some enquiries too. Poor little guy!

    Thank you ladies. im going to speak to his teacher this afternoon about it, i slept in again today so he was a little late and i didnt want to disrupt the class for a "chat". as we were walking to school he mumbled to me a few times how he hopes his teacher is back today.

    Yes, follow it up. School is supposed to encourage children not tear them down. If the normal teacher is not there mention it to the principal or vice principal. Let them know how the work was corrected and how upset he was at the end of the day. Sometimes sub teachers will not be employed in certain grades if they cannot cope. Getting good subs can be really hard.
