Absolutely they can watch TV in the morning. Most afternoons the TV stays off but if they want to watch a some ABC 2 or 3 in the morning I don't see any reason why they shouldn't. It doesn't interfere with getting ready for school. I suspect the neighbours prefer the TV days to the jumping on the trampoline and running about in the garden days.

Hahaha, I could have posted the exact same thing! TV doesn't interfere with my three kids getting up and ready before school . They don't last long in front of it before they are out on the trampoline or kicking a footy waiting for me to take them.

If I let my DS have the TV on he would be still sitting in his pj's with maybe one sock on!

No My kids just can't get ready if its on. Even if it was to be on with just "snow"on the screen they would still take forever and a day to get ready.

Just wanted to add that I don't have a problem with TV either way.

Mine sit straight in front of it as soon as they get up. DD1 in particular is not a morning person and it is better not to talk to her for a while after she gets up lol. They happily come when I call for breakfast and get dressed when they are told.

Both girls watch TV of a morning. Personally I would rather it not go on, but DH like to watch it whilst he has his breakfast.
The girls both manage to eat breakfast and get ready, so other than the fact that I loathe noise of a morning, it is not worth making a deal of it.

Must admit of a weekend I love it, the girls can get up and watch it for awhile whilst DH and I get a little sleep in.

This is my DD who is 5 yo. She gets up either plays with her toys or puts the t.v. on. If I am having a lie in, she'll come & get me to make her breakfast.
